As the world closes its books on 2015, and ushers in 2016, we are very excited as to what God IS doing here in Israel, and what he WILL be doing. Bess and I want to personally thank all of you for your financial & prayer support. These initial 5 months have been a blur. It seems like only yesterday when we landed at Ben Gurion Airport.

The verses in Isaiah above get us excited…here’s why.

I find it significant that the Targum(Aramaic) adds, “O Jerusalem”; as does the Septuagint, Vulgate Latin, and Arabic versions; (“Arise, shine, O Jerusalem”) and no doubt that the Congregation of God is addressed here: and by what follows, it seems to be the Jewish congregation, as distinct from the Gentile church, since they are said to come to it, the Jews, now “born anew”, and who are called upon to arise out of their prior state and condition, in which they have long been, and “shine” or to “awake”, as some render it, out of that sleep and lethargy they have been in for so long , and to shine forth or to be “enlightened” with the light of Messiah and of the Good News, now having come to them; and to share this light with others.

For I would not, brethren, have you ignorant of this mystery, lest ye be wise in your own conceits, that a hardening in part hath befallen Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in; and so all Israel shall be saved: even as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer; He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob – Romans 11:25-26

May these verses be fulfilled “speedily and in our day”

Of course, Satan is up to his usual shenanigans…to steal, kill and destroy.

The Jerusalem Post released a video of an event that occurred in the Old City. Three Israeli border police approached an Arab man and asked to see his identification. Surrounded by about twelve Israeli policemen, the man pulled a knife and attempted to stab one of the officers. With no logical hope of either success or escape, such a thing can only be done by demonic instigation. A suspiciously-acting woman at the Tomb of the Patriarchs, when asked for identification, took out a knife and tried to stab police. These are not rational actions. They are supernatural.

For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples.

It’s interesting that the gross, or deep darkness is a different word in the Hebrew than the first time it’s used in the same verse. Gross darkness, Arafel ערפל is the Hebrew word for “Fog”. So not only are the people in spiritual darkness, they are literally “in a Fog”, or by definition, unable to think or understand clearly, mental confusion or lack of mental clarity

Sound familiar…Satan, The Adversary, The Deceiver, Master of Confusion.

And just like the verse states….as we all know, it’s not just in Israel….it covers the whole earth!

We live in tumultuous and challenging days….and the time is short!

Remain steadfast in prayer, holiness, and repentance…..and

“Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem; they shall prosper(or be secure) that love thee.” – Psalm 122:6

Prayer Points For 2016

1.We have a team coming this month from Colorado- Pray we can bring a strong testimony to the Lost Sheep of The House Of Israel.

2. Please pray for “divine appointments”, not only for the coming team, but for us as we continue to build relationships & meet new people all the time.

3. Pray for more teams to come & serve and be a blessing to the Israeli people.

4. Please pray for safety for 2 of our children serving in the IDF. Soldiers in uniform are the terrorists prime target. Last Sunday, our friends son was stabbed at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station. He was in uniform heading back to his base. He is recovering and doing OK.
