October 2026 Update

Then all the survivors from all the nations that attacked Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, and to celebrate Sukkot. Furthermore, if any of the nations on earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, Adonai-Tzva’ot, they will have no rain. If the Egyptians do not go up and celebrate, they will have no rain. Instead, there will be the plague that Adonai will inflict on the nations that do not go up to celebrate Sukkot. This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate Sukkot. - Zechariah 14:16-19 (Tree of Life Translation)

It was a very busy month for us and the nation, as we had a 14-person mission team from Mission Hills Church in Littleton, Colorado join us, as the country celebrated the Fall Feasts of The Feast of Trumpets, Feast of Tabernacles, and holy day of Yom Kippur.

We know that most of the “Church” does not spend much time studying the “Feasts”, but these are all prophetic events on God’s perfect timetable, “mo’iden” or appointed times. The verses above from the prophet Zechariah are all end-time events.

In the same chapter, verses 3 & 4 make it quite clear.

Then Adonai will go forth and fight against those nations as He fights in a day of battle.

In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a huge valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north and half of it toward the south.

The Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot in Hebrew must be something very special to the Lord. Maybe it should be as special to us. I’ll leave it at that.

The Team from Mission Hills, 10 of which had never been to Israel before had several service opportunities with various local ministries as well as our usual stop at the Central Bus Station to mingle with the young men & women of the IDF.

Honestly, it didn’t go as planned. Most of the soldiers were not even willing to have us pray for them. I think the 3 year ordeal that the country has been through has taken its toll. I’m sure many are struggling with spiritual concerns, like “where was God on October 7th, 2023??

We did manage to visit most of the important biblical sites, so although it was a little shorter than most visits because of the  holidays it was a success. We did have 3 baptisms in the Sea of Galilee.

Sukkot for me personally, holds special significance. Forty-Two years ago this week, the Lord “Tabernacled” with me and revealed himself to me in a very supernatural encounter…Praise The Lord.

Please be praying for our next team which arrives in the beginning of November.

Pray for the leaders of Israel and America, and the upcoming elections in both countries.
