As Yeshua reclined in the house...many tax-collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Him and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw, they said to His disciples, Why does your master eat with tax-collectors and sinners? But when Yeshua heard, He said to them, the ones who are whole do not need a physician, but the ones who are sick. But go and learn what this is, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, for I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- Matthew 9:10-13

We broke bread for the last time with Haven Ministries this morning as we made the journey to Ben Gurion Airport for their return flight to Colorado. The Mission Team of 6 completed its 10 day adventure, after doing battle with the “unsaved”, the “heat”, and the Evil One.

We lost the battle with the heat…it was in the mid- 90’s all week, very humid, very uncomfortable. We did manage to hold our own on the mission field as we had many opportunities to share. We have much to be thankful for and many people to be praying for.

The seasoned team took every opportunity to meet and converse, whether we were sightseeing, sitting at a coffee shop, or shopping…yes, even shopping.

It was a privilege and a blessing to be ministering side-by-side with these men & women of God, committed to bringing the Good News, to the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel.

I listed the above verses that Yeshua spoke because we realized that whether we were sharing with an orthodox Jew, or secular, and everything in between..the common thread was them not recognizing that they are sinners!

If you think you are without sin…you don’t need a savior.

It was the first visit for 3 of the team members, so we made sure they got to see the history and the beauty of the country. We visited Masada, En Gedi, The Dead Sea, The Galilee, The B’hai Faith in Haifa, The Arab & Jewish Shuk, The New City, and of course The Old City of Jerusalem.

On their last full day in the country, we relaxed on the beach in the beautiful seaside community of Rishon LeZion, returned to the Old City for final shopping, and completed the evening with a traditional Shabbat dinner.

The ministry is already thinking of returning next year for Israel’s “New Age Festival”.

Please be praying for Charles & his wife, David, and Moshe where much meaningful time was spent sharing. Also for the other conversations that took place…the Lord knows.
