Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not keep His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will turn again; He will have pity on us. He will subdue our iniquities. Yes, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Jacob, and covenant love to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old. - Micah 7:18-20
Monthly Update: Making a Difference
Tomorrow is the Shabbat of Repentance, the Shabbat in the midst of the Days of Awe – between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Micah 7:18-20 is one of several prophetic portions which are read by the people of Israel. Please be praying for a supernatural revelation of their Messiah.
It has been non-stop at Beit Rachamim. Matt & Cathy McDaugale visited for 3 weeks, serving in the Land at various ministries as well as in-house service at Beit Rachamim. Brian & Carmen Brill joined them with paint brush in hand, hammer & nails, drills & saws. The pictures below cannot begin to express the hours of hard work in sprucing up our home for future teams.
We didn’t have to wait long…old friends Drew & Dez & baby Alitza Haviland brought their Mission Team from their congregation in Colorado Springs. The 7-member team is serving throughout the Land, touring the country, blessing the people of Israel, and being blessed. They purchased a great ladder for us, thanks guys…they are in charge of decorating the Succah- The Feast of Tabernacles or Succot is next week.
After Yom Kippur we will be joined by a 6 member team from Calvary Chapel Downey. All 13 plus ourselves will be in the house during a 5 day window…There is no more room at the Inn!
Important Prayer Points:
1.This past week the American State Department and the White House both strongly condemned Israeli building plans for less than 100 homes in Shiloh. This bitter response from our “friend” for only wanting to build homes for Jews in a land that has been ours for better than 3,000 years, was way over the top! Add to that, Obama’s statements when in Jerusalem for Peres’ funeral and it looks like Israel is facing a lame-duck president with evil intent. Rumors are that Obama will either present a resolution to the UN Security Council, or not veto a UNSC resolution, against Israeli settlements – which to the world is all the territory God restored to Israel 50 years ago in the 1967 Six Day War – including Jerusalem.
We do ask for You to give great wisdom and direction to Israel’s leaders to know how to respond to the attacks that are aimed at this nation.
2. The American elections are only a month away – November 8th. We continue to pray into this because the results will have a definite impact on Israel and on your nations as well.
Pray “May Your kingdom come and You will be done in these elections”
3. Aliyah – the return of Jews from exile to Israel – is always a priority to God’s end-time plans. The scriptures are clear that “all Israel” comes to a saving knowledge of Messiah Yeshua when back in the Land (Jeremiah 32: 37-42; Ezekiel 36:23-27; Zechariah 12:10) and that this happens before His return.
On Yom Kippur at the end of the service, Jews say, “Next Year in Jerusalem!” Lord, convict many of them that when they declare this – that they actually mean it this year.
4. Please continue to pray for our family…give us the energy and health required to manage the ministry-Wisdom & Direction. Pray for our daughter Simmie- the pilot that crashed & perished last week at her base was a friend. Our son Micah is currently serving in Hebron…is going to Gaza at the end of the month.
